Thanksgiving Already?

Time is flying by. I can't believe Halloween has already passed and we are getting ready for Thanksgiving. I am already getting my Christmas decoration's out. This year has really flown by. Where did all the time go? Kind of makes me sad you know. The older you get it seems like life passes you by so fast. I tell myself every year to enjoy all I can with my little ones because before I know it they will be grown and out of the house. I try so hard to soak up each minute with them, with my husband with my older girls and it doesn't seem like enough. I want more!!! Life is so precious and having it is a true blessing. I feel so blessed that God has given me a wonderful life. I have had some very hard times in my life. Loosing my Mom and Dad and grandparents and two years ago my sister. I look back at those times with them and I wish that I would have grabbed ahold of every minute with them. But when you are young and all you don't think of the future you dont think of what might be.... but it is what it is. I am thankful for my life today, I am thankful for my children and wonderful husband and I am thankful for a gracious and loving God that loves me and forgives me. I am thankful for my friends and family. I am thankful for the next breath the next day and the next smile from my children....

I Am In Love

With my little six week old Maltese puppy named Casper.
Isn't he adorable? lol I love this little guy. He is already spoiled. Whines beside my bed at night wanting me to pick him up so he can cuddle up beside me and go to bed. He is up every two hours and I am not getting much rest. lol But he is truly worth it. He is just a fluff ball. All you see is a white buff running across the living room sometimes and it will startle you. lol. I love the picture of him on the pumpkin. Just to cute. lol. Well on another note I will have a new e-pattern coming out tomorrow. Can't wait! Also just a little tip, if you are diabetic and looking to get more information on diabetes you can click on the right side of this page on Tu Diabetes and it is a great informative support group. Many good recipes, new medications to discuss to much more. You will really like it. Well best go have a great night!

To The Denist I Go

Last week I started feeling kind of bad and then all of a sudden my face ballooned out like someone kicked me in the face. Denial was no more, I knew I had to go to the Dentist. Oh I hate saying that word. lol. So off I went on Thursday my palms sweating like crazy, my feet well we wont even go there. I broke out in a sweat going in there. He could tell I was so nervous. Nervous really isnt the world for it I am TERRIFIED. lol. Well he told me I had a big time infection and thank goodness I came in when I did because the infection had spread and me being diabetic that isnt good. So he sent me off with some instructions and a big dose of antibiotics and painkillers to help me intil Monday. Oh I don't even like typing out Monday right now. lol Its tomorrow and I have been scared all day. lol. I know my tooth has got to come out but I am so scared. lol. I use to never be this way and now well Im a little kid again I guess. lol. I really hope it goes well. He told me he will have to cut it out. I think that is the part that almost made me pass out. What do you think? lol I seen this picture above and I had to laugh but thought to myself the luck I have he will be doing just that to me lol. Lets hope not. lol So my sewing and all that wonderful so is shut down for a few days. Hubby took me Friday to the doctor and then to my favorite places to shop Hobby Lobby and Micheals. We had a nice day. He was trying hard to get my mind off of it. It worked for awhile. lol. But I came back with lots of supplies and goodies. Well it is late but I did want to thank my sweet friends that have emailed me to check on me these last few days. Thank you so much for the emails. I am just a big baby. lol I can't wait for all of this to be over with. lol. But again thank you for your sweet words, prayers and your humor. lol I needed it. Have a wonderful upcoming week.

No Candy Bowl?

My daughter Josie bought this sweet pumpkin for me at Michael's. I love it! I told her I was going to keep it out all year long. lol.
As I was decorating for Fall/Halloween. I do it together at one time. lol. I realized I couldn't find my candy bowl anywhere. I still can't find it. lol. So as I stood there thinking what can I use on my coffee table, I looked around and seen a old muffin tin that I had just purchased at a local antique shop. So I cleaned it up and put my candies in there. Isn't that a neat idea to do? And I have had so many compliments on it. It is something different and I like that. It doesn't stay filled long due to my kiddos and sweet hubby John. lol. But that is ok, I would rather see them eat it than me getting into it. I don't need it. lol But anyways today has been rather cool. I love it! It has been in the 50's an it has been a very relaxing day for me. I can't wait for it to get cooler. I have been working on e-patterns and trying to catch up on my sewing for Christmas. Where does the time go? I have so many things I want to do but not enough time in the day to do it. Do you find yourself in the same boat? lol Anyways, I thought I would share the muffin tin tip with you today. Hope y'all have a great day!

My Sweet Witch

video

Isn't she cool or what? My sweet daughter Josie bought her for me for my birthday. I was so happy. I have been hinting for awhile and she went and bought it for me. I have displayed in my living room but on Halloween night I will have her on my front porch handing out candy. I hope I get a few laughs with her. I am so happy that Fall is here. The fall weather hasn't arrived yet but hopefully soon. lol. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. It has really put me in a creative mood. My daughter started helping me make my own e-patterns and I am so delighted with them. I will have them listed on my website and my blog hopefully today or tomorrow. So many things are going on in my craft room. It is a total mess. lol. I am enjoying creating for Halloween but my fingers are itching to start on a Santa. I love Christmas and love the essence of it. I have already gone and went looking for a new Christmas tree. I found the one at Hobby lobby and I almost passed out from the price of it. lol but I really want that tree. lol. My old Christmas tree finally gave out on me last Christmas. I had to tape it together to stay up. lol. I just hated to get rid of it. I am one of those that I hate to get rid of anything. I guess because I feel I have a use for it somewhere or another. But in reality most of it I can't lol. Growing up I didn't have much so I really appreciate what my good Lord gives me. I don't believe in wasting one thing if all possible. Anyways I best get back to working on my website. If you get a chance go by and look around. My epatterns are affordable and very easy to make.

Note: my sweet witch really doesn't sound that eerie. lol I used the wrong internet speed when I downloaded it and it messed her sweet voice all up. lol

Have a great day Y'all!

Happy Birthday Leslie

Today my good friend Leslie turns the big ??. lol I won't say Leslie. lol But today is her sweet birthday and I wanted to wish her a Happy Birthday. I would like to tell each of you a little about Leslie. She is such a wonderful person inside and out. We were introduced by a good friend Edna of Plum Thicket in a Ebay group. We started chatting away and before we knew it months have passed and our friendship grew. We have a lot of interest such as our primitives that we love like crazy. lol And we have a great love for being mothers. Leslie is one of the best Mom's I have ever talked too or seen. Her children are amazing. All three are the sweetest and kindest kids you could meet. They adore her as she adores them. They are the air she breaths each day. She inspires me and helps me in so many ways. She can give the best advice around. I get tickled when I hear her say to me "Dena will you get mad if I tell you something?" She knows my moods well. lol. I never get mad at her at all. I am so happy that God brought her into my life. She never sees bad in anyone, only good and gives all she can if she can to anyone. She has brought much laughter into my life and I hope I have done the same for her. We can talk about anything and laugh about anything as well. lol. She has such a great personality and it feels like we have known each other all of our lives. My family also likes Leslie. My kiddos think she is the sweetest and so does my hubby John. To me she is apart of my family. I can't imagine not ever knowing Ms. Leslie. I thank God for our friendship and I wish her many more wonderful birthdays ahead.
Happy Birthday my friend, your the greatest friend any ole gal could have!!!
Love ya,
Dena

New Creations

Fall Pear Ornies
Fall Pumpkin Tucks

Early Colonial Tarts
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thought I would share a few pictures of my latest new creations. They haven't been put on my website yet but they are at Two Peas In A Pod Primitives website.
I am working on several projects right now and will be turning those into Epatterns and hopefully will have those available by Sunday.. That is my goal. lol Fall and Christmas are my favorite to create items. It is so relaxing to me and I love it. Also that time is coming again. Back to school. I am dreading it. Most people love for their children to go back to school. lol Not this Momma. I love having them around me all the time. They give me such peace and the love they have is just awesome. But school is around the corner and they are itching a little to go back. I am sure on the first day of school they won't be the one crying it will be me. lol. But that is ok. lol. On another note it is very hot here in Texas. I don't know how everyone works out in this heat. My hubby does and I sure do appreciate all his hard work and dedication to our family. Most days he comes home so sweaty and yucky but you just want to give him a hug because you know that he works hard for his family and because he loves us so. He is a good man. Well I have rambled enough tonight. Have a blessed night.
A Mary Tyler Moore Moment
Nine weeks ago I decided to go back to school. It has been challenging to say the least. But so proud of myself for doing it. I jumped out of my comfort zone big time. lol. I haven't been in school for so long and figures I would forget most everything. Well I did. lol. No not really but some things I have and so many things have changed. I am 37 and I have always wanted to be a Elem. school teacher. I love kids. If you ever read my family blog you would see. lol. I would have 20 kiddos if hubby and I could afford it. lol But we can't. I do dream on winning the lottery though. lol. But getting back to going to school today I finished my finals for my first two classes and start my other two new classes Monday. So as of right now this girl has 6 college credits an I am so proud of myself. lol. I know it doesn't sound like much but it was a big big big step for me to go back to school. I believe if you have it in your heart and have that passion I say go for it if you are thinking about going back to school. Stepping out of your comfort zone can be good and I believe me doing this is a good thing. You just never know what might happen in the future. And I am one of those worry warts that wonder and worry. I want to have something to fall back on for my kiddo's sake and mine. I wanted to share this with you and I am just tickled pink on my first 6 credits. lol. Have a wonderful night!
